What does the Adobe Creative Cloud Free Plan Offer?

Adobe Creative Cloud is Adobe's suite of creative software, and the Adobe Creative Cloud Free Plan offers a limited selection of Adobe's creative tools for free. With the Adobe Creative Cloud Free Plan, you can access Adobe Aero, Adobe Fresco, Adobe XD, and Adobe Premiere Rush. You also get 2GB of cloud storage and access to Adobe Fonts.

While the free version of the Adobe Creative Cloud membership doesn't give you access to all of Adobe's creative tools, it's a great way to try out Adobe's creative software and see if it's right for you. And, if you decide to upgrade to a paid plan, you can do so at any time. Creative Cloud membership offers free trials of most of their software so you can decide if it's right for you.

What are you missing by not paying for Adobe Creative Cloud?

Adobe Creative Cloud is a platform that gives users access to Adobe Creative Suite of applications. Adobe Creative Suite is a set of tools for graphic designers, web developers, video editors, and photographers. A paid Adobe Creative Cloud membership includes all of the expected apps: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and others.

Adobe Creative Cloud membership gives users access to additional features, such as Adobe Stock, Adobe Fonts, and Adobe Lightroom. Adobe Creative Cloud membership is available for a monthly subscription fee. Depending on your plan, you may get access to all of the Adobe Creative Suite applications. Adobe Creative Cloud membership is the best way to get the most out of the Adobe Creative Suite. With Adobe Creative Cloud, you have everything you need to create beautiful graphics, videos, web sites, and more.

While you can get some of those benefits on the free Adobe Creative Cloud membership Tier, you'll be missing the fan favorites and you might need to go somewhere else for more advance tweaks to images or videos.

If I cancel a subscription, do I get access to Adobe Creative Cloud Free Tier?

Yes. Adobe explicitly says that if you cancel your subscription, you will be downgraded to the Adobe Creative Cloud Free Tier. While this may preserve your access to some tools, be careful about your cloud storage quota, as that could restrict your access to your own art.

How do I download Adobe Creative Cloud?

Creative Cloud is accessed through a single desktop app, which can be downloaded on the Adobe website. After you download the app, you'll need to sign in with your Adobe ID. If you don't have an Adobe ID, you can create one when you download the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Once you've signed in, you'll see all of the Creative Cloud apps that are available to you. You can install any or all of them. The app will work in the background to download, update, and monitor your access to the programs.

How invasive is the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app?

I find the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app pretty annoying. While some might not mind it, I absolutely hate programs that start in the background and prompt me unnecessarily while I'm in the middle of a task. You can prevent it from opening on start up, and you can close the Creative Cloud desktop app outright if it's annoying you.

Can I use cloud storage with the Free Creative Cloud Plan?

The Adobe Creative Cloud plan that you choose – if you choose to pay – may provide you more storage. But a basic free Creative Cloud membership is going to give you 2 gigabytes of free cloud storage in your Creative Cloud folder.

If you downgrade, you should be able to access your Creative Cloud folder. If it's over 2GB, though, you'll risk losing access to your creative projects. So back up everything before you downgrade.

Can I get free Adobe Creative Cloud access to Adobe Photoshop?

Unfortunately, at this time, a completely unlocked version of Adobe Photoshop is not available to free Creative Cloud membership tiers. You'll have to pay to fully unlock Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe Lightroom, and other apps.

But if you're a student, teacher, or nonprofit employee – there are discounts! These can make it more affordable to have an Adobe CC membership.
